Friendship festival fireworks.

This past weekend was the friendship festival. We decided to stay away from it. So we spent the weekend getting Avery a new mattress, which he so desperately needed. But I promised Hunter that I would take him to watch the fireworks. You can't see them from our house because the trees are in the way. We stayed on the east side of the base and parked near the north side fitness track and watched them from there. Two minutes into the fireworks, Hunter keeps asking me if it was the grand finale yet. The fireworks show was about 20 minutes long and every five minutes he kept asking if it was the grand finale. He was wanting to see that part of the show. Add ImageTheir summer is coming to a close. I go back to work on Wednesday and they go back to school on the 31st.

Avery has swim team try out again tomorrow. Now we are just waiting on football sign ups so both of them can play this fall.

Rumbling

Sunday evening we had an earthquake that was 3oo and something miles from Tokyo, but the house swayed and Robbie felt that one upstairs. Downstairs me and the boys didn't feel it. They said that one was a 7.1. Then this morning at 5 there was another earthquake, the windows rattled and the house swayed again (reminds me of a being on a ship) and it was a 6.4 .
