Today is Aug 8th. Well we experinced our first earthquake today. The boys were downstairs and I was upstairs. i felt something light rumble (I thought an airplane was taking off) and then i felt a big swaying of the house. I went downstaris to check on the boys and Avery asked what it was. Hunter said what earthquake. He was too into cartoon network to relize that we just had an earthquake.

This morning was Avery's last day of Golf camp. He really enjoyed it. He got a pair of golf clubs, two hats, and a shirt. He really enjoyed himself. He wants us to take hime to the driving range on the weekends so he can hit some balls. Hunter is a little jelous now. He wants to hit balls too, but avery's clubs are for left handers. Hunter was to young to play this year, but next summer he will be old enough.

Hunter is in swimming lessons and is enjoying himself. He is picking up everything so quick. This is his second class that he is in. He didnt pass level 2 last time, but he is making great progress.

As for last weekend, we went to Motsumoto Castle. It tooks us two hours to get there but five hours to get home because of the traffic. The buses aircondition wasnt working either, so it made it a really hot and long day.

I am trying to learn their language. i have a few phrases down , but not sure if i am saying them correctly. What is funny is, I will practice them and then when we off the base i forget to use them. I will try and post on here at least once a week, so everyone can see how we are doing.

Hi Hunter! It is your old teacher checking in with the Lehane family. It looks like you guys are having fun in Japan. I like this country. Kristi: I know what you mean about the Japanese phrases. I will psych myself up to use one, then I miss the brief moment in a conversation when it is appropriate to use the sentence. It is a bit frustrating. Welcome to blogging. I am so glad you are doing one, it makes it easy to keep up to date.

This is such a nice way to keep in touch. I really enjoyed reading about your week. Aidan is doing golf camp also. He says to tell Avery and Hunter Hi for him. Take care and have fun there. Lisa
